Ritual & Rivalry takes you deep into the Simpson Desert for Australia’s most iconic outback event. This isn't just a race; it's a pilgrimage of thousands, a testament to endurance, and a legendary communal gathering where the red dust settles on memories that last a lifetime.
The Birdsville 10-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & The Gate to the Outback
Land in Adelaide and meet your fellow roadies. We collect our rugged RVs, stock up on essential supplies, and share a first communal meal under the stars before heads hit pillows in preparation for the red dust ahead.
Day 2-4: The Silver City to Marree
The pavement gives way to gravel. We traverse the historic mining town of Broken Hill and push into the desert. This is where the Ritual & Rivalry experience truly begins—shared campfires, open horizons, and the first taste of true isolation.
Day 5-7: Birdsville & The Races
Arrival at the legendary Birdsville Hotel. We set up in the RV Village and immerse ourselves in the chaos: the dust-filled racehorse sprints, the eccentric fashion of the desert, and the sheer grit of the Outback racing community.
Day 8-10: Big Red at Sunset & Return
One final toast atop 'Big Red' as the sun dips below the Simpson Desert. We begin the long trek back to Adelaide, reflecting on a trip that redefined 'the middle of nowhere.' Farewell dinner and RV drop-off on Day 10.
